Robert Mace


Robert Mace, Ph.D. is a Deputy Executive Administrator at the Texas Water Development Board. Dr. Mace manages the Water Science & Conservation Program Area for the agency, a group of 66 folks that studies the rivers and aquifers of the state, promotes the conservation of the state's water, and pursues innovative technologies such as desalination, rainwater collection, and water reuse. He has a B.S. in Geophysics and an M.S. in Hydrology from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, and a Ph.D. in Hydrogeology from The University of Texas at Austin. Mace has over 20 years experience working with water in Texas, and has worked many years in the Edwards Aquifer, including on the Expert Science Subcommittee for the Edwards Aquifer Recovery Implementation Program (EARIP). Robert has a collection of artesian well postcards, most from Texas, many from the Edwards Aquifer.
